My 2025 Reading Wrapped: 112 Books!
At the beginning of the year, I set my reading goal to 100 books. This was somewhat of a reach for me, but I knew that it could be possible. Here we are at the end of the year and I have read… (drum roll please) 112 books! Which is so crazy, this is the most I’ve ever read in a year. Looking back I don’t even know how I did it.
This post initially started as a ‘my favorite books of the year’ post, but I soon realized that these had to be broken down individually. In this post I will be going over every book I read this year and one line about what I immediately thought as I made this list. 2025 was an amazing reading year for me, and I am excited to share my reading wrapped with you!
Every Book I’ve Read in 2025

Addicted/Calloway, do I need to say more?
The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls
I remember watching this movie as a kid so vividly.
Rebecca by Daphne du Maurie
Guys I am so guilty I wanted to read this because I’ve heard rumors that Tolerate It by Taylor Swift was inspired by this book. And I see it. I also really enjoyed this book and the original movie.
The Ex Vows by Jessica
Beautiful I am a sucker for second chance romance.
Happy Place by Emily Henry
Like I just said I’m a sucker for second chance romances. This was a re-read for me, one of my all time favorite books. I don’t even have the words to articulate how much I love this book.
First-Time Caller by B.K. Borison

I’m just too far into this series now to not finish it. (I think I would’ve loved these if I was younger)
Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan
Beautiful writing and a beautiful story.
The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston
Teehee I LOVE THIS BOOK. Planning on re-reading this in the new year.

Felt like it was trying to do too much.
Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez
Finished this in one day I was hooked from the start.
Not That Bad: Dispatches from Rape Culture by Roxane Gay
Heartbreaking and insightful. Sometimes I hate being a woman.

Darling Girls by Sally Hempworth
Kind of messed with my mind… but in a good way?
Madwoman by Chelsea Bieker
Not a favorite.

Promise Me Sunshine by Cara Bastone
Yes. A million times yes.
Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Habits & Break Bad Ones by James Clear
Exactly what I thought it would be.
The Half of It: A Memoir by Madison Beer
I really appreciate creatives being vulnerable in memoirs and opening up about things people don’t see behind the screens.
The Happy Ever After Playlist by Abby Jimenez
The chapters started with song titles and that was my favorite part of the book.
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Tbh this one haunts me from high school still. But Leonardo Dicaprio in mind the whole time reading😍
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
Best book in the original trilogy.
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle
Also a book from school and re-reading it took me back to that time. I did have a hard time getting through this one because everytime I went to read it Hits Different by Taylor Swift would start playing in my mind.
Twisted Hate by Ana Huang
I’m sorry I don’t get the hype on these books.
Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan
Super cute and fun!!
Blue Sisters by Coco Mellors
I still think about this one a lot.
Thank You for Listening by Julia Whelan
Don’t really remember much about this one.
Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry
The concept for this book was really cool, a story within a story, but I found myself not really connected with any of the characters because of it.
Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
May the odds be ever in your favor!
It’s Not Summer Without You by Jenny Han
Preparation for season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty
Magnolia Parks: Into The Dark by Jessa Hastings
No because I am crying just thinking about this book. I think I finished this one in May and it has been on my mind ever since. This could just be my favorite of the year.
The Right Move by Liz Tomforde
I like this windy city.
We’ll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han
To be so real I like Jeramiah up until this book. The final choice forever and always <33
Julie Chan Is Dead by Liann Zhang
Funny, witty, highly enjoyable.
Jaws by Peter Benchley
My poppop sent this to my kindle so I had to read it. So different from the movie… and I think I liked the book more? Idk sharks scare me.
The Favorites by Layne Fargo
SO GOOD WHAT DID SHE PUT IN THIS BOOK.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins
This just made me hate snow even more lol. Tom Blyth killed this role in the movie though.
Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney
Classic thriller even though I saw the ending from a mile away (the first few chapters).
One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune
Ugh I loved revisiting this lake!! Every Summer After was one of my favs in 2023, so to see Charlie have his story was so wholesome and full circle for me.
Magnolia Parks by Jessa Hastings
A re-read because I couldn’t stop thinking about these characters. They were a hot mess in this one wow.
My Friends by Fredrik Backman
I have not been the same since. Fredrik Backman’s writing is so unique, I didn’t even know the feelings I was feeling until the very end when I just sobbed through the last few chapters.
The Conditions of Will by Jessa Hastings
Loved it.
The Maid by Nita Prose
Honestly, this put me in a reading slump.
Out of the Woods by Hannah Bonam-Young
The concept of this book was so fun and I really enjoyed the story of falling back in love with your partner.
The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose
Why was there a second book?? Any why did I feel the need to read it lol.
The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Such a fun YA mystery book with a little love triangle. I ate this one up.
I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman
After finishing this one I felt a little uneasy… and I still don’t know what to think of it.
With a Vengeance by Riley Sager
Such a highly anticipated new release for me, but unfortunately it fell short. Riley Sager is one of my favorite authors and this felt different from his other work.
And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer by Fredrik Backman
Read this entire book teary eyed. I hate goodbyes.
Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
Haymitch has always been one of my favorite characters and getting his perspective and his game was incredible. Also cried like a baby at the very end of this one, it makes so much sense as to why he is the way that he is.
Sounds Like Love by Ashley Poston
The queen of magical realism. I discovered this genre through her and it’s been life changing.
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
I think everyone should read this book.
Normal People by Sally Rooney
Another re-read because I think about this book and these characters all of the time. Sally Rooney books are not for everyone and I totally understand why, but they hit so hard for me.
The Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Continuation of the Hawthorne Games, it’s such a fun story.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
I think about this one a lot. Also felt kinda numb after finishing it.
Destructively Mine by Krista and Becca Ritchie
Continuation of the Webs We Weave series. I am now fully invested in these characters and I am excited for the final book next year!!
Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid
It’s Taylor Jenkins Reid… obviously it was amazing
The Orphanage by the Lake by Daniel G. Miller
I wanted to pretend like I didn’t see the plot twist (even though it was so obvious to me), it was a good concept but executed poorly in my opinion.
All the Missing Girls by Megan Miranda
Interesting and kept me engaged
Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi
Too far in to back out of this series now, and I am starting to like Juliette now.
Intermezzo by Sally Rooney
Another sad book with sad characters. I really do love her writing style and the way she describes human emotions.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
This series is so perfect for the winter time. Hopefully I can get through it by the end of next year!
The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
I watched the show first and I wish I didn’t. I fear this one also put me in a bit of a reading slump.
Divergent by Veronica Roth
Another childhood classic that I never read. I swear I finished this in one day. It was so good.
The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston
Kinda disappointing! I love Ashley Poston’s other work, but this story didn’t do it for me.
Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin
I absolutely loved this one. It was one of those books where you don’t even realize you’re so far in it, and then you’re suddenly sobbing at the end. The ending was sad, but I was also just sad that the book was over.
The Secret History by Donna Tart
I’m still thinking on this one. It has messed with my head so much, I need to re-read this next year with a new perspective. Because what???
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
I was not expecting to love this one as much as I did! The story was so easy to fall into and fun to follow. The only criticism I have is that you don’t form a deep connection to any of the characters. Or at least that’s how I felt during my reading experience.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling
The movie is one of my favorites from the series, but I didn’t feel the same way about the book. It’s still Harry Potter though, so I obviously loved it.
The Idaho Four: An American Tragedy by James Patterson and Vicky Ward
Feeling uneasy about this story. It is so horrible, but I think this book does a good job covering the case.
